Rescue Pet of the Year – Competition Terms & Conditions for entrants

  1. Registration will be open from 1st June 2017 until 12:00pm 9th July 2017.
  2. Online registration via www.royalcanin.co.uk/rescuepet2017
  3. Requires internet access, use of a valid email address and registration with ROYAL CANIN® (you will be prompted to create a new profile if you do not have one).
  4. All cats and dogs entered into the Rescue Pet of the Year competition must originate from a rescue centre in the UK or Ireland.
  5. The copyright for all images and other media submitted for competition purposes must belong to the individual submitting them.
  6. Copyright in all media submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their entering the competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to ROYAL CANIN® to feature any or all of the submitted media on the ROYAL CANIN® website, social media channels and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
  7. Spelling and grammar amends may be made to competition entries shortlisted for the final vote prior to publication on the ROYAL CANIN® website. In cases where Intellectual Property is infringed or breached, any reference to the copyright, patent or registered trademark will also be removed.
  8. 20 Shortlisted entries will be chosen (10 dog and 10 cat) by ROYAL CANIN® to be used for public voting for the finalists via the ROYAL CANIN® website and social media pages.
  9. The public vote will be live from 21st August and will close on 17th September 2017.
  10. Winners will be chosen via a public vote on the ROYAL CANIN® website and social media pages. The winners will be notified within seven days of the vote closing, winning a selection of ROYAL CANIN® gifts. Prizes will be sent by post to the address provided by the winning entrant.
  11. The Rescue Centres that rehomed the winning cat or dog will be contacted by phone or email to arrange delivery of the prize which will comprise of 6 x 17kg bags of Shelter Cat or 12 x 17kg bags of Shelter Dog; to feed 50 cats or 50 dogs for one month based on 2kg per cat and 4kg per dog per month.
  12. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a competition, the decision of ROYAL CANIN® shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  13. One entry per person.
  14. Open to residents of UK and Ireland only.
  15. Open to persons aged 18 or over only.
  16. Not open to employees of Crown Pet Foods Ltd.
  17. No prior purchase necessary for registration.
  18. No cash alternative.
  19. Non-transferable.
