“My older dog (an 11 year old, neutered male, spaniel) seems to be a bit slower getting up and a bit less keen moving around and jumping than he used to. I’ve watched him really carefully when he does exercise and he is definitely not lame and doesn’t limp at all, so I doubt he has any true mobility issues. What do you think could be causing him to slow down like this? It seems to have happened very gradually over the last couple of years.”
Our regular Ask the Vet feature enables readers to pose a question about their pet to our ROYAL CANIN® vets and nurses. Selected questions will be answered in our newsletters, of course, we will not be able to answer all questions directly and unfortunately not everyone will make it into the newsletters. But we’d love to hear from you if you have any interesting questions about your dog or cat’s general care, health or nutrition, go to www.royalcanin.co.uk/askthevet
This is no substitute for your pet’s dedicated veterinary care so please contact your vet if you have specific concerns about your pet’s health and visit our website for FAQs about our products.
